I believe therapy is a space where you should feel understood while also having room to grow. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your experiences with curiosity, honesty, and compassion. I believe meaningful change happens through a balance of feeling accepted as you are and becoming more open to seeing yourself and your experiences in new ways.
I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the City College of New York and my bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, and Society from Farmingdale State College, where I focused my studies on psychology, biology, sociology, and cultural studies. This interdisciplinary background shaped my understanding of how our relationships, environments, identities, and biology can influence our mental health and the ways we experience the world.
Throughout my clinical training, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, ADHD, autism, developmental disabilities, and personality disorders. I especially enjoy working with people who feel overwhelmed by life’s demands, are navigating significant transitions, want to better understand themselves, or are looking to develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.
My approach is collaborative, exploratory, and grounded in both insight and practical support. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy, while incorporating mindfulness and creative approaches when appropriate. Together, we may explore patterns that are keeping you stuck, connect past experiences with present challenges, and develop strategies that support your goals. I also value helping clients build self-compassion, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop healthier ways of coping.
I am particularly interested in the role that creativity and self-expression can play in therapy. While traditional talk therapy can provide meaningful opportunities for reflection and growth, creative approaches can sometimes offer another way to understand and express experiences that are difficult to put into words.
I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest about where you are while also feeling supported in moving toward where you want to be. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a major life transition, struggling in your relationships, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, my goal is to help you develop greater insight, confidence, and self-awareness so you can build a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling.
