My approach as a therapist is shaped by my own experiences navigating intergenerational trauma, complex family dynamics, and living in both Asia and the United States. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how our early relationships, cultural expectations, and environments can shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others. Before becoming a therapist, I studied psychology and business at the University of Pennsylvania and worked in high-pressure corporate environments, giving me firsthand insight into perfectionism, burnout, and the uncertainty that can come with questioning whether the path you’re on is truly the one you want.
I work primarily with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, stress, self-criticism, perfectionism, burnout, relationship challenges, and the effects of growing up without consistent emotional support. I’m especially passionate about supporting people who feel overwhelmed by expectations, disconnected from themselves, or caught in cycles of questioning whether they are “enough.” Together, we can explore the experiences and patterns that may be contributing to these struggles while creating new ways of relating to yourself and others.
My approach is primarily person-centered, integrating CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and acceptance-based approaches based on each client’s needs and goals. I believe emotions themselves are not the problem; often, it is the way we learn to judge, avoid, or fear them that can keep us stuck. By learning to make space for difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them, we can create greater flexibility, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where you feel both supported and empowered. My goal is not to tell you who you should be or how you should live, but to help you better understand yourself, identify what matters to you, and develop the confidence and tools to move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
Getting the right support can make a meaningful difference, and you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. I would be glad to meet you where you are and work alongside you from there.
